About SEAB

The Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) is directly under the Ministry of Education and is responsible for organizing and managing Singapore's national examinations and assessments. SEAB oversees key local exams like the PSLE, GCE 'O' Level, and GCE 'A' Level, and promotes international exams such as the iPSLE to foster global educational exchange.

What is iPSLE

The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is Singapore's primary school exit exam. The top 10% of PSLE scorers can enter the 6-year Integrated Programme (IP), which combines secondary school and junior college education.

The iPSLE is the international version of Singapore's PSLE, designed for foreign students preparing for junior high school entrance. Passing the iPSLE grants direct entry to Singapore government secondary schools, with top performers eligible for scholarships from Singapore's Ministry of Education.

The iPSLE covers English, Chinese, Mathematics, and Science, with candidates able to take up to four subjects. The exam format, standards, and requirements mirror Singapore's local PSLE, ensuring fairness and authority.

Results are typically announced in November of the exam year, reported as achievement levels 1 to 8, with 1 being the highest. The iPSLE allows students to benchmark against global educational standards and better understand their academic capabilities.

Currently, there are 14 designated iPSLE examination centers across 6 countries and regions, including China, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.
